Embark on an enchanting journey along the Lower Seti River, a watercourse winding through two contrasting and mesmerizing scenic realms. Immerse yourself in the diverse landscapes of Nepal as the river meanders through local villages, terraced rice fields, cascading waterfalls, suspended bridges, and lush jungles alive with wildlife. Glide along the gentle currents and stumble upon a pristine white sandy beach, a perfect haven for camping beneath the starlit Himalayan sky.

The Lower Seti River, characterized by its modest water volume and pleasantly warm temperatures, offers an ideal setting for a leisurely warm-up paddle. This tranquil environment is particularly conducive for those looking to familiarize themselves with the art of kayaking before taking on more challenging whitewater. Proudly hosted on these serene waters is our renowned Beginner Kayak Clinic—an unparalleled opportunity for first-time paddlers to immerse themselves in the world of kayaking.

As your adventure unfolds, the journey concludes near the renowned Chitwan National Park, providing a delightful deviation from the usual route and offering a refreshing alternative to mundane bus journeys. Escape the beaten path, relish the unspoiled beauty of the Lower Seti, and set the stage for an unforgettable odyssey to one of Nepal's most sought-after adventure travel destinations. Uncover the extraordinary, and let the Lower Seti River serve as your gateway to a unique and enriching experience. Flowing from Mount Fishtail, this picturesque river courses through deep gorges with mountain vistas and white sandy beaches. The comfortably warm water is ideal for learners, and the gradually increasing size of rapids aligns perfectly with our kayak school's teachings.

Trip Itinerary

We travel direct to the Seti River to begin the course with an introduction to kayaking in a safe calm environment, out on the slow flowing and large pools of the Seti River near Damauli. The day will include safety demonstrations and learning paddle techniques, balancing and steering kayaks, and an introduction to assisted and eskimo rolls.

Today we refresh your new knowledge before putting you in control of the kayak to test your skills. As we paddle gently down stream through gentle grade 1 and -2 rapids, there will be plenty of opportunity to hone your balancing and steering skills, all under the watchful guidance of our experienced instructors. At the lunch stop you will learn some basic swift water rescue skills to add to your safety knowledge. As we continue to travel down river the guides will help you to understand how the river flows and how to read the water and understand currents.

We paddle down river encountering gentle rapids to gain more experience in the river environment. After lunch we have a focused skills session in the safe environment of a quiet river eddie.

Time to hit the rapids! Using all your new skills we will run the river’s more challenging rapids, encountering some bigger waves and longer rapid systems. Your Instructors will be with you at all times to demonstrate correct lines and to help you increase your skill and confidence levels.
